"Robin
Hood's Bay, Yorkshire.
On the 2nd September
a salvage party of six was marooned on the
wreck of the Harvest Queen, owing to their
boat breaking away and capsizing. Their plight
was seen by a plumber, who called out ex-Coxwain
Oliver Storm and went out with him in a small
motor boat at about 11am. A heavy sea was
running, with a strong northerly wind, and
it was impossible to get along side. At considerable
risk the two men rescued the party with the
help of life-lines. The rescuers were engaged
for about three hours. Rewards, £2, and 3s.6d
for fuel used."
