"Lily" and "Providence"

31st October 1912

The two cobles "Lily" owned by M. Duke and "Providence" owned W. Screeton had set out early in the morning in fair weather. However as the day drew on conditions deteriorated into a full gale. The lifeboat "Mary Ann Lockwood" was launched at 7:15am to escort the two cobles safely back to the landing.
