Alpha, Amanda & Malone

29th January 1861

In thick fog and at night the barge "Alpha" of Ipswich, schooner "Amanda" of Yarmouth and the schooner "Malone" of Guernsey all came ashore near the North Cheek at Robin Hood’s Bay. The tide was at about half ebb and the weather fine. The first two got off when the tide flowed up and the last was got off with assistance for £35.
