While cleaning nets, in the early hours, the trawlers propeller became entangled and she drifted onto the scaur ends at Castle Chambers, Ness Point NZ 96025 06740

Whitby Lifeboat and Robin Hood's Bay Coastguards attended. An attempt to pull the trawler off by the Lifeboat failed and the crew were lifted by helicopter to the cliff top.

Robin Hood's Bay Coastguards recovered the liferaft's EPERB when the tide ebbed.

Over the following months high seas moved the wreck under the cliffs to NZ 95985 06536

Some salvage work was carried out, but wreck is still largely intact.

2006 saw salvage operations start again.
